The West Lothian Association of Community Councils (WLACC) was formed in 1998 to represent the views of West Lothian’s member Community Councils to a number of organisations. These include the Scottish Government, West Lothian’s Community Planning Partnership, West Lothian Council, the West Lothian Armed Forces Community Covenant and NHS Lothian.
The Association is bound by its constitution and holds at least four meetings in a year plus an AGM held in November. These meetings allow the membership to discuss relevant issues affecting Community Councils throughout the county and share knowledge and experiences. Often speakers will be invited to its meetings to present on relevant topics.
To ensure the Association fully represents the views across the whole of the region, all Community Councils throughout West Lothian are encouraged to participate.
This website is focused on providing information on what the Association is involved with and seeking its members views. So please browse the site and keep returning to get the latest news and information. Feel free to get in touch using the contact form if you have any questions, suggestions or views to share.
