All West Lothian Community Councils are provided with a free page on the main WLACC website to use for minutes of meetings, news and events (see example). Overall administrative control is managed by the WLACC Administration team, however, the page can be edited by a nominated individual of your Community Council on approval of application. Please complete the registration form below to apply for your login details and instructions to allow you to edit your dedicated Community Council page.
If you require a full content management website similar to this one where you can change content, add pages and images and brand it with your own header, whilst still benefiting from centralised support, upgrades and standard training, we also have a solution. We offer a Dedicated Community Council Website that is fully supported by our local IT team and sponsored by a business of your choice. The cost is £25 (+VAT) per calendar month paid yearly in advance and may be paid by your business sponsor. The business sponsor will be advertised on your dedicated website and may have their own page as well as a link to their own business website. Please provide us with at least one main sponsor that we may approach on your behalf to cover our costs. If you do not have a main sponsor yet, we may be able to provide one in your area. Please state if you would like us to provide you with a main sponsor.
Alternatively, our minimum costs may be met with 5 business links. In this case, please provide the contact details of 5 businesses in your community that may be approached on your behalf.
This website content is for the West Lothian Communities and therefore managed by the community representatives. Eventually, the plan is to run classroom training at West Lothian College. We appreciate that early interest by individuals may be better served by one to one/two training in our studio in Livingston. This is being offered to interested community council members (maximum of 2) at the special rate of £100 (+VAT) . This fee may also be charged directly to the main sponsor on request. Payment is paid on receipt of VAT invoice by credit card, debit card, cheque or BACS.
